Ji’Ayir Brown has redefined the term “climbing the latter.” With 3:44 remaining in Trenton Central’s 79-65 win over Hightstown, Brown brought the house down with a rim-rattling slam.

One could feel every ounce of energy in the gymnasium change towards the Tornadoes, and Brown knew it. “The momentum shifted all the way on our side after that dunk.”

The senior credited his hustle for timing-out the put-back. “I knew the layup was going to roll-off,” Brown explained. “I always go after every offensive board… I go at 120 %. I grabbed it and put it right back in.”

Brown finished with 16 points and 11 rebounds, while his Tornadoes won their sixth straight game improving to 15-5 on the season.
