Familiarity is the name of the game heading into this Friday’s matchup between two 5 and 1 ball clubs.

With the Falcons venturing to Harry S Truman High School, the coaching staffs of both programs will be reunited once again.

Dan McShane coached alongside Truman’s now head coach Mike LaPalombara, and Truman’s defensive coordination Galen Snyder at Pennsbury for five seasons.

“It will come down to who’s going to be willing to do something out of character that’s going to fool the other person,” McShane said to Vince Reed during the Dan McShane Show.

“I have nothing but good memories with those people.”

Fondness will be put aside come 7:00 p.m. Friday. Ahead of the rivalry matchup, coach McShane is channeling his inner Yoda.

McShane explained that a lesson he implements from the legendary Star Wars character is the absence of trying.

“I will drop my keys on the floor and instruct players to try and pick them up,” McShane revealed. “I then tell them that they either did it, or did not do it… there is no such thing as trying.”

Now in the seventh week of the season, The Falcons will attempt to do something they failed to complete last season, win a sixth game.
